Our staff have decades of combined experience in a wide range of engineering disciplines. We have worked on projects of all sizes and complexities, and have the skills and knowledge to tackle 21st century challenges. We conduct ourselves with pride in professionalism, empathy with our clients, and an underlying desire to use our expertise to do good in the world. Our staff capably engages with all stakeholders, from front line contributors to executives and share holders.
REA utilizes multiple methods and tools to get the most out of your data. We are certified in and follow the Google Data Analytics project framework. We are proficient in using SQL, Python, and R programming to compile, process, and evaluate large and untidy datasets. Staff are expert users of Microsoft products and Tableau to create powerful visualizations. We work with our clients to understand their questions so that our analysis provides unique insight. Most importantly, we recognize that the analytics process isn't complete without acting on the data. All of our engagement provides specific recommendations with a bias towards action.
Our specific experience in the power engineering field has prepared us to support all aspects of analysis work. We are proficient users of PSSE, PSCAD, Synergi, CYME, and other simulation and modeling tools. We can perform the technical study work required to analyze systems and then support the development of executable projects to mitigate deficiencies. Our utility expertise also includes multiyear expansion plan creation, CAPEX and OPEX development, NPV and ROI calculations, rate making, energy efficiency and demand response program design, process improvements, NERC standards, RTO market operation, and FERC rulemaking. We understand the real world operation of utilities and the needs of their customers.
REA has the vision to move with the changes happening to the power grid. We are licensed Professional Engineers who can perform detailed interconnection studies, but our experience allows us to move past the competing needs of utilities and their customers to focus on solutions that are mutually beneficial. The value proposition of renewable generation and energy storage is stronger when stakeholders partner together. Our EV planning studies embrace the potential of vehicle to grid charging. When we evaluate demand response and energy efficiency potential, we focus on meeting utility needs while reducing customer bills. We value working with the utility to find solutions for their customers that can be leveraged into non-wires alternative solutions.
